If you were to shop at an online Ultra Feminine Shop, what would you want to find there that would make you become a regular customer that isn't readily available?
I appreciate any responses and insight, I am at a fork in the road in my life that I need to decide to grow or close down my online shop and need to research before I hire someone to upgrade and revamp my site.
Thanks in advance,

Re: Need of Information?
Mon, October 12, 2009 - 7:19 AMwow, i dont know of a SINGLE transgender person that doesnt love corsets. Id buy your whole stock for my gf if i could, and surprise her, but currently in the process of moving, so , sadly, will only be able to offer what i think others will be cleaning off your shelves.

Re: Need of Information?
Tue, October 20, 2009 - 5:20 PMI would check the phonebook or contact LGBT organizations..
I know that there are LGBT-specific ad agencies that I'm sure
would be able to help you fufill your niche

Ive been waiting to buy when i found someplace that may actually be able to help fit me get fit right.
I wished I lived closer to you. drats.
I hope things go better for you. I know many small specialty businesses have been having trouble lately.
I have had such a drop in clients too, hardly making any money.
Im surviving;but,Im going into another line of work also.

Re: Need of Information?
Sun, November 1, 2009 - 8:53 AMI almost made some suggestions and comments without checking out your web-presence.
1) You do have an Ebay account/link
2) You do have a PayPal account/link
3) You also have a Avon Link
4) You are also listed on Virgina Beach.org
I do not have an Avon Link, and I don't see myself enlisting one either. I do not see myself listing my business on Virgina Beach.org, although it wouldn't hurt, but since I live in Oakland Ca it's a moot point.
You no doubt have tried other ways to bring in sales just as every other brick-n-mortar and ecomm vendor has tried, is trying and will try.
How much are you paying for that website? Cut costs unless you are a web designer. Ebay has 8 other sales venues, and you more than likely can utilize at least 2 more of them (may not be able to utilize all 8 of which PayPal is 1).
Look into a Google Blog with Adsense account, there are tons of other free venues to market your wares.
Raina had an excellent idea of trying to get in league with LBGTQQI organizations to promote your store. But I'm not to sure about the phone book. There was a time in my life that I swore by the yellow pages, but I use the internet so much that I don't even bring phone book directories in side any longer, I just pick them up by the transparent logo'ed bag it's in and toss it in the trash. I ask myself am I throwing away a valuable resource and over the last 4 years I haven't regretted or experienced a need for a phone directory...I could be wrong.
Lastly I myself am an aspiring designer, a transgender at that so it is very difficult for me, but I'm not complaining. I've been told by soooo many people that if I sew "BASIC MAID'S" outfits that I would be swamped in business. That was some 4 or 5 years ago. To date I have constructed 1 maids outfit and the client backed out of purchasing that. I still have it hanging behind me as I rattle this off to you. I haven't sold another maids out fit nor have I gotten an order for 1...but I hear the same old song that "If I build it they will come". I initially told myself if I buy all that fabric and make all those dresses and all these so call sales don't materialize, I'll be stuck with all the product (yeah it sounds like self-defeating attitude, but this is real life). All I can say is I made a good call.
One thing I noticed about your website is you use the term Ultra Feminine...it's women's clothes (that wasn't a dis), I'm not saying change the name or anything. In the TGBLQQI community there is a lot of division, some say it's necessary some say it isn't. It is of the opinion in some circles that Transgender and Intersexed persons are different from Drag/Transvestite/Crossdresser's. It's damaging!!! Truthfully, I have a stocking fetish. I love stockings...but girlfriend, (this is just my humble opinion), your site speaks to CD/TV's. This isn't a problem, it's seems like a disconnect in that passable and even semi passable and beginner pre-op girls have local stores that they shop at, like Macy's, BEBE, Nieman Marcus, Mervyns...the Local Mall, THRIFT & DISCOUNT stores...THEY ARE NOT HIDING IN THE CLOSET. On the other hand you have your closet TV/CD's that like your site (if they know about it) and would be willing to shop there but they have life happening, they have wives, children, jobs/careeers and only the weekends and special holidays/occasions to dress and the car trunk will only hold so much. Their friends can only keep so much of their stuff! It isn't you or what you are doing neither is it any specific community hetero or homo, it's what it is ... life. I'm in the same boat. I would say hang in there if you have the energy resources and time. CD/TV's (and especially Drag Queens) spend major dollars when they have it to spend.
GG's, Post-op girls, passable pre-op girls and the like would shop at your site, you have to find a way to connect with them.
There is another piece of information that I want to convey but I'll have to comment later. I'm running late.
Good luck
p.s. all of this is from my perspective from the outside, don't take anything I said to mean you are failing, you are at least trying...you go girl.
